A unique sauna experience in the middle of nature
In a traditional sauna ceremony guided by sauna master, the healing power of the forest's trees and plants combines with the restorative and therapeutic spirit of the sauna, bringing alive the Finnic mythology and ancient wisdom.
The traditional sauna ceremony utilizes seasonal plants and takes into account customs related to the annual cycle. During the sauna ritual, traditional sauna chants guide you into the realm of steam (löyly).
You get to enjoy a deep and profound sauna experience guided by Sauna Healer (saunottaja), utilizing natural elements and seasonal gifts, plants, vihtas (whisks), sauna incantations, and other relevant traditional knowledge and culture, following the cycle of the seasons.
You will enjoy whisking, herbal steam, sauna treatments, and the incantations and ancient rune songs that are part of the traditional sauna ritual. This experience invites you to immerse yourself in the sauna tradition using natural gifts, whisks (vihta) and sauna incantations such as Greeting the Löyly (the spirit of the sauna).
In addition to the ritual, your reservation includes an introduction to Finnish sauna tradition before entering the sauna and relaxing time in the sauna cabin or on the terrace after the sauna ritual.
Duration of the ceremony is approx 1,5 h (with cooling breaks).

Healing whisking treatment
Herbal löyly (steam)
Seasonal sauna treatment (with e.g. honey, peat or herbal salt)

You may attend the sauna ritual wearing a swimsuit or naked if your group chooses so. The sauna healer is not naked but dressed in a sauna gown.
The ceremony is held in the treatment sauna Vipunen and is limited to a maximum of 6 participants at a time. The price includes the sauna healer's services for max 6 people, so if your group is larger, please contact us via email and we'll arrange the sauna experience suitable for you.
